Cooking Mama

I have been coming home right after work which leaves me ample time to experiment on cooking. The cooking bug is still in me and preparing a new meal sets me high on adrenaline each time. This is this week's highlights.

Spaghetti with ready made sauce , not very challenging as it is pretty simple. Rudd finds the sauce a tad bit bitter , I guess it got to do with the tomato and bacon in it.

Ahh.. this is what I challenge myself this week. Because of my current condition I need fish more than ever so instead of depending on my weekly fish dose at grandma's. I have decided to learn to make it on my own.
This steamed grouper was my master piece , the spring onion , ginger and tomato combo makes the dish very appetising. Not a bit of fishy smell at all.

I tried steaming fish again , this time with Batang. It does not taste as nice as grouper as the fishy smell got me gagging somehow. Grouper is still my favourite. And there is spinach , one of the nutrient dense food but not something my hubby likes as it leaves a tangy after taste which you either like it or detest it. I love it though and because of its nutrients I gobble down half a packet all by myself. And eggs with milk just because I have a dozen eggs still hanging in the fridge. No more half boiled eggs for me-self so I got to think of ways to finish up all the eggies.

This is the last dish for the week as there are no more food left in the house. This is my all time favourite congee with brocolli , dried scallops , 'ge zi' and a generous helping of Marmite. I just cannot live without marmite and congee , it is the dish I have been cooking since my uni days and it never failed to comfort me. And I managed to finish the other half of the spinach.

What an achievement this week !
