Cooking mama continues ...

I bought my very first whole fish from the supermarket ( I got the guy to chop it into half ) and very proudly steamed it with ginger and tomato. BUT I forgot to scale it. Duh. 
Luckily there's my comfort food. Brocolli porridge with red dates and dried scallopes with a big spoonful of marmite. Yumz.

Lotus roots soup boiled for a long long time. So thick and flavourful.

 Ma Po Tofu with minced pork and mixed veg. The smell of the minced pork gets to me I shall choose chicken the next time. It was a good dish to go with white rice. I ate so much that NIGHT !

Spinach for iron boost. This is a special veg either you like it or hate it. And I happen to love it ! 

 Another attempt with Ma Po Tofu Sauce. Still with porky pork. And no I still do not like the smell of pork.

 Another first attempt with cod fish , recipe provided by ah ma. I love all my grandma's dishes and I am so inspired by her everytime I cook. She is my kitchen goddess ! This dish is simple and so good for little S.

 Spinach again this time with tomato.

 Rainy night calls for comfort food. I hope little S will enjoy this dish as much as Mama.

 This fish was given by ah ma , I pan fried it this time with red dates and ginger. No fishy smell it was great.

 New Dish ! Got inspired by a dish that Laine posted up. This is my version of chicken wings marinated with dark sauce , sesame oil , soya sauce cooked with ginger slices. I rate it as not too bad for a first trial. It might be better with a bit of rice wine or Hsau Hsin Jiu.
