So far we have been to four lessons of the TMC childbirth course, kudos to Papa Teo for not missing a single lesson !
Most of the time , the mummies will already be equipped with basic childbirth knowledge just because there is a need to know. Whereas the daddies will tend to be not as knowledgeable. After all the one birthing is not them so I really think the course is a great time for the daddies to come together and learn a thing or so. At the end of the day , the mummies might forget everything due to excitement , anxiety and uncomfort so daddies as the birth partner are supposed to remind , assist and provide encouragement. Birthing is after all a team effort.
So far I think Papa Teo has done a great job despite dozing off on the previous lesson. I guess the videos of the different types of birthings might have bore him. Just get that little fellow out is all that matters !
For me it is a good chance to learn something from the expert , it gives me a better idea of my birth plan. No pain no gain. I shall be brave.
